Buffers & Bump Stops
Male Buffer
Male Buffers, sometimes referred to as Type D Buffer or Type 4 Buffer are a low cost Rubber Buffer, ideal for absorbing shock & vibration. They are used in compression, and are available with various thread sizes. Additional Sizes are available, and also Stainless Steel metals and Oil Resistant / High Temperature materials can be produced.
Applications include - General purpose Buffer used in a wide variety of applications where shock absorption is required, including Construction, Agricultural, Commercial Vehicle & General Industrial Machinery. They can also be used as machinery feet.
Female Buffers
Female Buffers, sometimes referred to at Type E or Type 5 are a low cost solution to absorbing shock & vibration. The buffers are used in compression, and can be produced with various mounting configurations. Additional Sizes are available, Plus Stainless Steel metals and Oil Resistant & High Temperature polymers available on request.
Applications include - General purpose rubber buffers used in a wide variety of applications, including Construction, Agricultural, Commercial Vehicle & General Industrial Machinery. Also used as machinery feet.
Conical
Male Conical Buffers are ideal for absorbing shock & impact. Giving high levels of deformation under impact / load, and provide a progressive stiffness rate to absorb energy and protect equipment. These Conical Buffers can be produced in Stainless Steel metals and various polymer types. Also available with Female Fixings.
Applications include - Primary & secondary suspension for vehicles, bump stops for general industrial machinery, assister springs & rubber shock absorbers.
Bump Stop
Bump Stops are similar to Male Conical buffers, however having a “2 Angle” profile, offer 2 stage stiffness properties, allowing light weight & heavy duty impacts to be accommodated. High levels of deflection under shock, and a progressive stiffness rate to absorb energy and protect equipment. Bump Stops can be produced in Stainless Steel metals and various polymer types, and are also available with Female threads.
Applications include - Primary & secondary suspension for vehicles, bump stops for general industrial machinery, Varying shock assistor, assister springs & rubber shock absorbers.
Stop
Tapered Buffers are used for shock absorption. The Tapered body provides a progressive stiffness under and impact or shock load. Ideal for absorbing energy. Stainless Steel Studs and Fuel Resistant Rubbers etc can be manufactured to order.
Applications include - Bonnet Stops, Door stops, General industrial Equipment.
Square Plate
Square Plate Buffers are used for the absorption of high shock loads. They are used in compression, and are available with various mounting configurations. They are ideal at protecting equipment & machinery from impact shocks, and also used for control buffers.
Applications include - Mining & Quarrying Equipment, Construction, Agricultural machinery, Commercial Vehicle / Trucks & General Industrial equipment.
Rectangular Plate
Flat Buffers are similar to Square Plate buffers. They are used in compression, and can accommodate high shock loads. They can also be used for Rebound Control. These shock mounts gives excellent levels of protection.
Applications include - General purpose mountings used in a wide variety of applications, where shock absorption is required.
Ring
Ring Buffers are used for absorbing shock. They are a low cost shock mounting, allowing for fixing by a bolt.
Applications include - Used where shock absorption is required. Due to the profile of the produce they are ideal for relatively high loads, where small amounts of absorption is required.
Hollow Ring
The Hollow Ring Mounting, is a general purpose rubber to metal bond mount, which can used for various specialise designs. They can be used for both vibration isolation & shock isolation.
Heavy Duty Plate Buffer
Heavy Duty Plate Buffers are ideal for providing cushioning for high shock loads. They are a rubber to metal bonded component, with a steel bottom plate.
Truck Buffer
Truck Buffers, as the name suggests are designed for installation on the rear of trucks & other vehicles. Available in various lengths & sizes, they are ideal at absorbing bumps and protecting the vehicles when reversing into loading bays.
Applications include - Trucks, Specialist Vehicles, Trailers and General Purpose applications where impact protection is required.
